Fortune & Glory [Update]

"Before ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, before NEW AVENGERS, before SECRET INVASION...Brian Bendis was an award-winning cartoonist, and this scathing Hollywood tell-all was one of his best!"

At least, that's how CBR says it, and I couldn't say it any better so why try? Here's the preview, and below is the page they used part of for the cover.

[Update]
Another preview over at ifanboy has completely different pages than the CBR preview, so go check that one out here.

I didn't realize (another upcoming series)...

...that Ultimate Mystery and Ultimate Doom were announced at the Marvel panel on Friday. Here's an interview with Brian Bendis about the next two series.

I'm lucky enough to continue working with the Ultimate Enemy team throughout the whole trilogy. I'll start the last issue of Enemy within the week and then we'll take a break for a month and after that we get back into the swing of things with Ultimate Mystery.

So that's two books at Marvel for me through the rest of the year. Yay for stability!

Here's the image shown at the panel (not my coloring)...

Thor revealed

My next Marvel book was announced today (4/16) @ C2E2 during the Mondo Marvel Panel. It's Thor: The Mighty Avenger written by Roger Langridge, and drawn by Chris Samnee. I'm really excited because this is my first ongoing series for Marvel (if you don't count S.W.O.R.D., which wasn't really ongoing despite being called that in the beginning) and I get to continue working with Chris. The look is going to be pretty flat, but since I haven't done any interior pages yet we're not sure exactly what the final product will look like. Even still, I suspect it won't be very different from these covers.

This image is going to be the the cover to issue 1 (the left side) and issue 2 (the right side).

Kickstarter

There is this pretty neat site called kickstarter.com that allows people to create a proposal for a project and then look for funding to make that project happen. It looks like you can do just about anything, but getting the money to self publish a comic seems like a really good fit. And that's exactly what my friend Tyler Chin-Tanner is doing with his book American Terrorist.

To the see the site in action check out the American Terrorist's kickstarter page with this link.

2 BOOM!'s today

I've got another preview from a Boom! comic today. I did an 8 page story in the Irredeemable Special #1 that CBR has previewed here. It's written by Mark Waid and drawn by Paul Azaceta.

Below are two of the preview pages and one more for good measure...

Anchor #7

I saw a preview of The Anchor #7 out there on the interwebs, so I figured I better put up some pages. Here's the pages without the text...

Accessory to a crime

This is a back cover for Last Days of American Crime. Not sure if it's for a trade, or an issue, or what. Just got an e-mail from Rick asking if I could color it asap and I did. The book is written by Rick Remender and this cover art is by Jerome Opena with colors by me.

Now you know everything I know. Yep, everything.

Ultimate Comics Enemy #3

PREVIEW TIME!!!

CBR has a preview of Ultimate Comics Enemy #3 up, and you can check it out here. The last issue had a lot of fire with the Human Torch flying around and this issue has a lot of ice* (courtesy of Iceman! Duh.). Turns out, ice can be a pain in the ass to color.

*ice not pictured in preview*

Anyhow, here's some pages without all those word ballons...
